Burcu Yağar is the founder of SALIX IP, an Attorney at Law and a registered Trademark Attorney with over 12 years of experience in intellectual property law.
She qualified as a Trademark Attorney in 2013 and was admitted to the Ankara Bar Association in 2014. Prior to establishing SALIX IP, she spent more than a decade at one of Turkey’s leading intellectual property firms, advising and representing domestic and international clients across a wide range of IP matters.
Her practice extends in all aspects of intellectual property matters, including prosecution, oppositions and appeals, litigation, enforcement, anti-counterfeiting, customs measures, portfolio management and strategic IP counselling. Throughout her career, she has managed extensive IP portfolios for leading national and global companies and has also worked closely with foreign counsel and international rights holders on the protection and enforcement of IP rights in Turkey.
In addition, Burcu is a licensed mediator specializing in IP law. She also serves as a court-appointed expert before the IP Courts in Ankara, providing expert opinions in intellectual property disputes.
Burcu is actively involved in the international IP community. She is currently a member of the ECTA Mediation Committee, where she regularly contributes to the Committee’s work and initiatives.
